Assorted genres of classic music from the 50s, 60s,70s & 80s on vinyl LPs. Gathered from the personal collections of two individuals. Shipping available on all record LP albums. If your require shipping, special shipping applies to LP albums. See the shipping details elsewhere in this description and also in the ""Terms and Conditions"" section. This is for novice AND serious collectors and audiophiles of vinyl from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. Multiple genres and artists, mostly rock, pop and contemporary of the day plus a little country, jazz and miscellaneous, with a sprinkling of other styles and time frames. We found a large number of these albums with matrix/pressing numbers that were 'hand written' which for those uninitiated is generally accepted to mean a high probability of being first run or at least very early run pressings. This is a compilation from two collectors. ALL, meaning each and every one, of the albums, have been individually VISUALLY INSPECTED for condition of the vinyl (excluding the label). Almost all of the vinyl is in Extra Fine (XF) to Near Mint (NM) condition unless otherwise stated in the individual description. Cover (jacket) and sleeve conditions vary widely as will be stated in descriptions and noted in photos. Many covers have “rub wear” marks from being slid in/out of storage racks, many have dinged corners, split edge seams, tears and there is a variety of other wear and damage to cover faces and edges. But protection is what the covers are for and it shows the covers have done their job. As far as we can tell, ALL of these vinyl albums are genuine vintage classic (old production), not re-prints/re-productions. There is also a meager showing of equipment, all in excellent condition, larger equipment items will be local pickup only due to weight & size. NOTES about testing. There are a few records that are less than XF or NM in appearance quality. That is, they have visible issues that prompted us to actually “test play” them for further assessment. We used our budget priced record player for testing. There is no questioning our diamond stylus is of low quality and won't reach deep into the record grooves, but it still gives us a basic assessment of how the records will play. In particular, we listened for “skips” and/or “dead tracks” above all else, along with any other audible irregularities (discounting static “snaps, crackles and pops”, which are a normal thing with vinyl records) and note them in the descriptions. We obviously cannot play every record in this auction due to time constraints, so only those with obvious visual imperfections were actually played. All others are visually inspected ONLY. Special Shipping for LP albums. Special boxes will be used to ship the LP record albums. For typical single albums in standard single jackets, a maximum of 3 or maybe 4 albums per box will be typical to allow for bubble wrap packing for protection. Some albums such as gatefold and double albums or box sets etc. will not physically fit as many albums in a box. Your shipping will vary depending on how many albums fit in each box. A charge of $4.00 per box shipped plus actual shipping charges will be assessed for each individual box shipped in addition to one $4.00 PER INVOICE handling charge. IN PERSON item pick-up will be Saturday, May 9th from 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM. Please be on time. Winning bidders will be advised of the full address upon full payment of their invoices. With all that said, we hope you enjoy this trip down memory lane as much as we have.
