If someone else bids $300 and nobody else bids, you will still win your item at $300 because it is the first bid (you beat them to the $300 bid thanks to placing a maximum bid). We are utilizing a soft close auction. This means if anyone bids in the final seconds before an item closes then bidding extends 2 minutes and everyone will only have 2 minutes total to bid again.
