This is an additional percentage added to your winning bid and becomes part of your final purchase price. Most importantly, KNOW THE PICKUP REQUIREMENTS before bidding. Know what a max bid is. Enter the highest amount you're willing to pay and HiBid will bid incrementally on your behalf as needed. You do NOT automatically pay your maximum. Finally, understand the closing process. Lots close in order rather than all at once. We use a "soft close," meaning if someone bids during the final two minutes, that lot remains open for another two minutes to allow a counterbid.
