Every Saturday morning starting at 9am till noon the Stonington Farmers Market is held inside the Velvet Mill. Approximately 30 farmers offering a variety of winter produce & fresh goods. Fish, Poultry & fresh eggs, breads, honey, mushrooms, cheese, carrots, squash, lettuce are just a few of the many items available.
Several shops inside the mill are open including a brand new Alan’s Antique Shop at #27 on the Southside. Primitives, Baskets, Americana Pottery, Antique Fishing lures and Bamboo Rods, Country Decor and military items are offered.
So if you’re looking for an interesting place to visit stop by for breakfast ,lunch or dinner. The mill has several eating establishments including Whites, Zest, Backdoor Pizza, Empanadas in the main room and Dock #9 for a great Cuban sandwich and an drink..Over 120 studios featuring Artists, Photography, Framing Gallery, including live music. The mills is three football fields long and is dog friendly…The mill is open on Sundays also and has flexible hours of 10 till 6
