Description:
Eugene Bavinger and Bruce Goff Homecoming
You are cordially invited to an extraordinary opportunity to acquire a piece of Oklahoma’s artistic and architectural history—treasures from the celebrated Bavinger House, long thought lost following the home’s demolition in 2016.
Created in 1950 through the collaboration of University of Oklahoma professors and Oklahoma natives Eugene Bavinger and Bruce Goff, Bavinger House became an internationally recognized icon of 20th-century organic modernism. Honored with the American Institute of Architects’ 25-Year Award and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the home embodied their groundbreaking, creative vision.
Now, a remarkable collection of art and furnishings from the home has resurfaced and been entrusted to Vincent Estate Liquidation and Sales. In cooperation with the Norman Arts Council, we invite you to an exclusive preview and purchasing opportunity.
Public Sale
Wednesday, Nov. 4, and Thursday, Nov. 5
9 a.m.–6 p.m. both days
The collection includes more than 30 paintings by Eugene Bavinger, pottery by Nancy Bavinger, Bruce Goff memorabilia and ephemera, original furniture and lighting, and historical documentation of the home's creation.
This is a rare opportunity to bring home an extraordinary piece of a legacy that helped shape Oklahoma's artistic and architectural identity. We look forward to sharing these remarkable works with collectors and admirers who appreciate their enduring significance.
