At the heart of this estate is the story of a talented musician whose love of music was a family tradition. The grandson of a celebrated big band leader whose orchestra entertained audiences throughout the 1940s and 1950s, he grew up surrounded by music. Following in his family's footsteps, he and his brothers performed professionally, entertaining audiences around the world. One of the great highlights of his musical career was touring internationally with the legendary Pearl Bailey. Although his professional journey eventually led him in another direction, music remained a lifelong passion. An accomplished jazz guitarist, he continued playing throughout his life, sharing his talent and love of music with family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of listening.
This diverse estate reflects a life of varied interests, cherished memories, and an appreciation for craftsmanship, history, and the arts. Highlights include antique and vintage furniture, collectible jewelry, original paintings and prints, musical instruments and equipment, sterling silver and silverplate, decorative pottery, unique collectibles, and so much more. Whether you're a seasoned collector, a vintage enthusiast, or simply someone who appreciates finding something special, there is plenty to discover.
More than just an estate auction, this collection offers a glimpse into a life well lived, leaving behind a lasting legacy of music, family, friendship, and professional accomplishment.
Prior Memories invites you to explore this wonderful collection and perhaps find a treasure that will become part of your own family's story.
