Description:
This sale comes from a curious collector's cabinet, gathered piece by piece over many years. What ties it together is a love of the unusual and a sense of place: a Lion of Lucerne carving with a 1913 traveler's note, twined bags collected in Kenya before 1950 (David and Barbara Fraser collection), a Jackson Hole antler cribbage board, Mount St. Helens ash pottery, early pewter spoons with collector tags, New Mexico petrified wood, and crystals from Arkansas, Colorado, Mexico and Morocco. Plus fossils, Southwest-style carvings and pottery, African baskets and vintage soda collectibles. Something for rock hounds, fossil hunters, folk art lovers and anyone who enjoys an object with a story.
