Gooseberry Court Estate Sale
(If you didn't see the gate access instructions, you must look up Diane's Estate Sales on the gate access monitor for Thursday and Friday or email us here for your private code.
Come explore a home filled with personality! This sale brings together an unusually wide mix of quality furniture, original and signed artwork, vintage finds, coastal collectibles, appliances, and practical household pieces, so there’s something to discover in every room.
There's a jewelry area as soon as you walk in the door on your left on the way to the master bedroom, some cool finds there including an antique pin fire revolver.
The kitchen star is a clean, working Jenn-Air side-by-side refrigerator with in-door ice and water, paired with a working Jenn-Air gas range. If you’ve been waiting for the right appliance upgrade, this is it. Tucked in the kitchen cabinets, we also discovered a lovely set of Tiffany stemware, perfect for elegant entertaining and holiday toasts. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, baking pieces, serving pieces, china, glassware, crystal, tableware, small appliances, and a large assortment of useful kitchen items.
Gather the family around a large expandable parquet-top dining table with six coordinating chairs, and don’t miss the substantial curved-front French Country-style sideboard/credenza with carved detailing and painted fruit panels, a true statement piece for any dining room.
Mid-Century Modern fans, the living room is calling your name. The centerpiece is a large curved Mid-Century Modern sectional, reupholstered about ten years ago, paired with a striking round Mid-Century Modern-style glass coffee table with a heavy architectural metal base. Together they make a ready-made retro living room. You’ll also find a large Rowe Furniture sofa, Rowe upholstered accent chairs, a Stearns & Foster sleeper sofa, a solid wood Mission-style bench, and oak accent and storage cabinets. Wicker and rattan lovers will find plenty here too, from occasional pieces to decorative furniture and wicker mirrors, along with a cane-seat chair, vintage furniture, coffee and occasional tables, bedroom furniture, and decorative metal and wood bed frames.
Art lovers, this one’s for you. Highlights include a signed and numbered Richard Curtner “To Begin” limited-edition textual collage print with Certificate of Authenticity, a matching pair of Robert Brooks Cape Cod prints, “Cape Cod Dunes” and “Old Oyster House, Wellfleet, Cape Cod,” a signed and numbered E. Alvarez Don Quixote lithograph, a framed Ralph Fasanella “Polo Grounds” print, a signed Paul Ravelle figurative lithograph, an original 1935 D. Genovese watercolor still life, a colorful 1958 geometric abstract signed DPG, and a signed Griffin landscape. You’ll also find original and vintage floral paintings, coastal and architectural artwork, vintage coastal pieces, decorative metal sculptures, handmade metal décor, and framed works throughout the home.
Beautiful rugs fill the home, including a large Sphinx by Oriental Weavers Ariana Collection room-size rug, dense-pile 7' x 10' and 9' x 12' area rugs, an approximately 8-foot Persian-style runner, and additional contemporary area rugs.
Collectors and decorators will want to look for a working Singer 401A Slant-O-Matic sewing machine with its original manual, a dramatic arc floor lamp and other vintage and modern lighting, decorative lamps, a large carved wood gilt mirror, vintage clocks, Italian decorative pieces, pottery including a Ken Edwards Tonalá Mexico piece, decorative pottery, decorative bottles, and numerous accent pieces. Cigar enthusiasts will enjoy wooden cigar boxes, desktop humidors, cutters, and accessories.
You’ll also find vintage books and religious items, including a 1954 Family Rosary Edition Catholic Bible, plus books, vintage board games, picture frames, live plants and cactus, office and art supplies, storage organizers, tools, and storage pieces. Electronics include a Samsung Gear VR headset, Roku, GPS units, vintage projection equipment, a small Samsung HDTV/monitor with remote, an HP OfficeJet Pro printer, and a Sanitaire System Pro upright vacuum.
This is the kind of sale where the treasures go well beyond the headline pieces, with original art, vintage décor, substantial furniture, and plenty of unusual finds tucked throughout the home.
We’ll see you at the Sale!
Chris, Jenny, Brooks, Carly, Skyler, and Nancy
