VEHICLES AND MILITARY VEHICLES:
1943 T-120 1 ton Ben Hur trailer
Special Features
Original military hitch lunette and pintle hitch- The majority of surplus Ben Hur trailers sold to civilians after WW11 had their heavy military rings chopped off or replaced with standard 2-inch ball hitches for farm use. Because finding an uncut, original casting is rare, historical accuracy drives the monetary value.
Original wood-An original wood body on a 1943 Ben Hur 1 ton cargo trailer is rare and highly collectable because organic materials from World War 11 rarely survive intact.
Hand operated parking brakes- These parking brakes are complete and hard to find original components. Many military trailers lost these rare mechanical parts over decades of civilian use or scrap recovery.
1943 GMC CCKW 2 1\2 ton
Special Features
Mounted winch- The winch adds mechanical complexity, functional off-road utility, and greater historical authenticity that collectors demand. Only a minority of these trucks were built with winches making them rarer today.
Canvas top and driver side/passenger side canvas doors- Canvas tops historically known as the open cab or soft cab configuration are generally worth slightly more to collectors. The open cab with canvas top represents the definitive iconic look of a front line WW11 tactical vehicle. Open cab CCKW's were specifically designed to accommodate the M36 machine gun ring mount over the passenger side. This commands significantly higher prices from the collectors who want to mount a deactivated .50 caliber machine gun for historical displays and reenactments. Canvas top is also easier to fit in garages and easier to hall on a trailer. The open cab offers slightly more leg and shoulder room compared to the steel cabs.
Original civilian dashboard- It's extreme rarity, historical significance as a first-production milestone, and aesthetic appeal.
Roof hatch machine gun ring mount- The M36 original ring mount and M 49 ring substantially increase the value of the CCKW because these components are exceptionally scarce, highly sought after by military vehicle collectors, and expensive to complete.
Bed- Original bed in back for sleeping. Collectors demand militaryspec authenticity; a correct matching bed completes the vehicle and preserves its historical worth.
Real and original data plates- They provide irrefutable proof of authenticity, historical provenance, and matching numbers.
Steel cargo bed with wooden sides- During world war11 cargo beds were exposed to the elements and harsh military use because of this finding an intact original wartime wooden bed or its side racks today is nearly impossible making them highly sought after by collectors.
Pioneer tools and jerry cans- The original military axe, shovel, and pick mattock significantly increase the vehicle's financial and historical value.
Short wheelbase model- These rare models make up about 10% of the CCKW production. The short wheelbase version was purpose built as an artillery prime mover specifically tasked with towing pack howitzers and field guns.
1944 Dodge WC-51 Weapons Carrier
Special Features
Data plates- They serve as the ultimate proof of authenticity, confirming matching numbers, factory delivery dates, and genuine WW11 provenance.
Jerry cans- Original jerry cans accurately reflect a vehicle's historical authenticity.
Hood numbers- Vehicle collectors and historians, the hood number is highly sought after because it links the physical truck to its manufacturing time frame.
Bed storage boxes- The integrated side toolboxes/compartments built beneath the troop seats significantly increases the vehicles market value. After World WW11 these trucks were frequently modified into flatbeds, tow trucks, or service vehicles which meant the original cargo beds and side storage boxes were usually chopped off and discarded.
Canvas and bows- They complete the vehicle's iconic wartime configuration, protect it from elements, and save the owner from high restoration costs.
Split rim combat wheels- They are authentic and increasingly rare, expensive to replace, and complete the truck's factory-correct military appearance.
1942 Gpw ¼ton script Jeep
Special Features
The script embossed Ford stamp- This stamp marks a very short production window for only a fraction of the WW11 time period. Ford only embossed its name on the back of the early GPW script jeeps until July 1942 making these particular models scarce and highly sought after.
F script- The F scripts original hardware brackets and bolts stamped with a cursive F signifying authentic ford manufacturer.
Matching data plates, serial numbers, original glove box and engine block numbers- This proves authenticity, historical completeness, and extreme rarity.
Pioneer tools- The original military axe, shovel, and pick mattock significantly increase the vehicles financial and historical value.
And tons more!
