Description:
An exceptional curation of investment-grade Western fine art, high-end designer and antique furnishings, indigenous cultural artifacts, and specialty collectibles. Leading the fine art offerings are significant original works, highlighted by William Moyers CA oil paintings, Beverly Hoebe portraiture, Earl Staley landscapes, and an impressive large millennium bronze bear sculpture by James Clark. The furniture category presents outstanding statement pieces spanning multiple eras, including a Copenhagen leather recliner and ottoman, a Japanese step tansu chest of drawers, antique Mission quarter-sawn oak desks, Mid-Century Modern teak seating, and rustic Sheesham wood cabinetry.
Complementing the premier furnishings is a notable assembly of Native American and Southwestern regional artifacts, featuring historic Acoma and Klamath/Modoc basketry, Western Apache burden baskets, and handwoven Zapotec textiles. Collectors will also find an elegant selection of artisan jewelry—ranging from chunky natural turquoise necklaces and Sajen sterling pieces to vintage liquid silver—alongside antique clocks, cast iron, and decorative antler mounts.
The catalog rounds out with an eclectic cross-section of automotive shop tools, vintage pop culture, and specialty lifestyle goods. Practical equipment includes hydraulic shop cranes, a Hobart wire-feed welder, benchtop wood lathes, and electric winches, contrasted by an expansive vintage comic collection spanning Marvel, DC, and Charlton titles. From museum-quality Western art and Scandinavian design to functional shop machinery and retro ephemera, this sale represents a remarkably diverse, high-caliber estate offering.
