Description:
Caring Transitions of Issaquah and Bellevue is happy to host a bonanza of an Estate Sale in Monroe, WA. We don't host these in-person sales often, but when we have a chance to offer three days of fun with ample treasures for you to uncover, we are thrilled. Our clients were passionate and avid collectors. They not only collected over 40 years but were active participants in the collector club communities. A love of cocker spaniels turned into a mass, varied and extensive collection of all things related to the loveable breed, the cocker spaniel. This collection extends beyond Disney's class Lady and The Tramp but anything that may have featured directly or indirectly this animal. Who knew (I didn't) that this breed was featured in advertising from Gin, US Navy, Stamps, Drug Stores, Light Bulbs, Beer and everything in between. If there was anything with a cocker spaniel ever produced, this client has it. She was a great admirer of the illustrator, Albert Staehle, known for Butch the Cocker Spaniel and Smokey the Bear. She collected his work and published a book on him as well. You will not ever find a collection so large. But the passion for collecting didn't stop there, it extended to all things Disney, Stamps, Postcards, Antiques, Ephemera and Books. In addition to her extensive collection, her husband a marine biologist, published author and professor amassed a library of antique books, and rare antiques. We have only begun to uncover the treasures in this home and the photos included are only a sneak peek. You will come for the day and want to stay the weekend. I recommend you pack a lunch. Stay tuned for more photos and updates as we roll up our sleeves and dive into this home.
