Recognized as an important piece of Ute Pass pioneer history, it stands as a testament to the early resort era of the region and has uniquely remained within successive generations of the same founding family for well over a century. Home to early settler, entrepreneur, and town postmistress Margaret Geddes Hart and her husband Frank, who held several historic properties and rental cabins in the area. Today, the home stands as one of the few remaining 19th-century properties in Green Mountain Falls that has continuously preserved its direct, multi-generational link to the town’s original settlers.
