We’re all volunteers, and our mission is to help support the education of the public, (we do a lot of programs for area school children every year), we help fill the nifty gift shop,(ya really need to come see the great displays, weaving, and cool stuff for sale !!!), that’s in the museum, and we have a big task ahead of us, which will involve either repairing,(highly unlikely, considering the extensive damage caused by Hurricane Beryl, several years ago), or actually replacing the huge statue of Stephen F Austin, that has become a great landmark here in the county. We’re looking for new volunteers, to help support us in our endeavors, both by volunteering and helping with our FUN school programs, and promoting “Big Steve”. We meet monthly, and you could become part of a truly great group of folks, who are interested in Brazoria County history. Think about it, please.
