Description:
The 500-Mile Sale is almost here, and the staff and volunteers at the Pawnee County Historical Society have been hard at work getting everything ready! This year, the entire sale will be located in the museum basement, accessible either by the stairs inside the museum or through the alley entrance. Just look for the building with the yellow-and-black brickwork along the alley!
This sale is the museum’s biggest fundraiser of the year. The Pawnee County Historical Society receives no funding from the state or city, so we depend on events like this, along with generous donations, to help preserve Pawnee County’s treasured artifacts and keep the museum open to the public. PCHS has no paid staff — we are entirely volunteer-run and dedicated to keeping our local history alive for future generations.
There will truly be something for everyone! We have a dozen assembled quilt tops ready to finish, plenty of quilting fabric, craft supplies, handmade crafts, collectible cigar boxes, vintage wooden fruit crates and boxes, vinyl records, how-to books, car-top carriers, sets of red and blue glasses, crystal pieces, complete dish sets, pictures, paintings, household items, appliances, heaters, fans, lighting, health aids including walkers and shower chairs, furniture, electronics, collectibles such as Frankoma Christmas plates, and so much more. Come on down, y’all... You don't want to miss this sale!
