Description:
Welcome to the Lammers Estate Catalog. The Lammers family proudly served our country through lifelong military service in the United States Navy. Upon retiring with the rank of Commander from the Portsmouth Naval Base in New Hampshire, the family made Knoxville their permanent home. Mrs. Bea Lammers was a direct descendant of Chief George Skye and an avid, discerning collector of authentic Native American artifacts. Her collection includes pottery, beadwork, weavings, sculptures, and other significant works—carefully curated and notably not tourist ware. Their son, Steven, also served in the military. Throughout the years, the family accumulated cherished childhood memories and memorabilia that traveled with them as they were transferred from one naval base to another. Daughter Laura was a model, an author, and a deeply loved member of the Knoxville community. She lived with and lovingly cared for her parents. Laura’s presence is reflected throughout the estate in her vintage handbags and clothing from her modeling days, as well as in her thoughtfully collected and artistically displayed miniatures. This estate will be offered in several rounds. This first offering provides a glimpse of the treasures to come as we continue to uncover and prepare additional items for future sales.
