He grew up tinkering with cars and scooters. His real love was rebuilding classics and street rods. He was a member of a local car club for over 40 years. When the business closed in early 2000, rebuilding cars became a full-time hobby. Some called him a bulk buyerbecause he rarely bought one of anything. He loved antiques.
