This auction features a curated collection of fine art, jewelry, luxury goods, high-end collectibles, and elegant furniture — each reflecting Diana’s refined taste and her storied career. Rounding-out this fun sale is a collection of Alexander Klemin engineering prototype wind tunnel model airplanes.This auction presents a unique opportunity to acquire pieces that reflect Diana’s discerning taste. All lots were carefully moved to BRG-Greenwich for convenient pick-up. Happy bidding!ABOUT DIANA KLEMINDiana Klemin graduated from Vassar College in 1944. She furthered her studies at the Art Students League, the New School for Social Research, and the Museum of Modern Art. Klemin began her career at G. P. Putnam's Sons before moving to Doubleday & Company, Inc., where she worked as a book designer and was promoted to Art Director in 1953, a position she held until 1987. Klemin is recognized as a noteworthy Art Director by Marquis Who's Who. Throughout her career, Klemin visited numerous museums and sorted through thousands of submissions from graphic artists to find illustrations and book jacket art. In the 1960s, she oversaw the illustration of a forty-eight-volume children’s classics series and directed the art for the “Best-in-Children’s Books” club, collaborating with notable artists, including Andy Warhol.
